| Abstract: | This paper sought to investigate the barrier that rural youth face in the quest to embark on entrepreneurial ventures. Through the use of a purposively selected sample data was collected from Chivi Rural District in Masvingo , Zimbabwe and analyzed through the use of specialized computer programs. The findings from the research indicate that the youths in rural areas face a myriad of challenges when it comes to business venturing . The challenges include lack of funding, inadequate infrastructure and in access to information. Recommendations were made for policy makers to curb the challenges being face by the youth. |
